R.I.P. Liam Clancy
The family of Liam Clancy regret to announce the sad death of Liam who passed away at 12 noon today in Bon Secours Hospital , Cork , Ireland . Liam, the last surviving member of the Clancy Brothers, is survived by his wife Kim and their four children, Eban, Siobhan, Donal and Fiona. his 8 grandchildren and his sisters Joan and Peg. He will be sadly missed by family, friends and his many fans throughout the world.
Very sad news. I’ve been in a legal dealings with Mr. Clancy and his manager for several months over his unauthorized use of the above photo of mine on his new CD cover. Through all that I never lost respect for the man’s accomplishments. An apology was posted to his website today concerning the image. A bittersweet victory to say the least.
