The Captain!

This guy ran the demolition company at the airplane boneyard out in the Mojave Desert. One of the coolest days I’ve ever had! I was out there with my good friend Xeni Jardin to cover the first launch of Space Ship One for NPR. A lifetime ago but feels like yesterday.
