Clown Ramp Backside Air

Old shot from the Clown Ramp in Dallas. The little guy on the deck is Mike Crum.
The Face of a Queen

Caught this shot of The Queen Mary on the ferry from the other side of Long Beach at sunset. One of my favorite photos I ever got of the grand old ship.
Destroy Everything

The amazing Destroy Everything at the 30 years of Punk show in Lisle, IL June 03, ‘06.
S.S. Jeremiah O’Brien

The Liberty Ship S.S. Jeremiah O’Brien as seen from a boat on the San Francisco Bay. I was heading up north to attend a Pirate Festival when I saw this ship from an angle I haven’t seen her from before and snapped this pic. And yes, that’s right, a Pirate Festival. Haaaargh!
I’ve been on [...]
Double Orca flip at Sea World

I shot this in 2008 on a multi-park trip to San Diego. Very sad to hear about the trainer who got killed but you’re dealing with apex predators and that’s kind of a job hazard. They’re not kittens and I’m sure she knew the risks and wouldn’t want anything bad to happen to the whale [...]
Trouble

Holly & Missy farting around on some side street in Chicago before going to a punk rock show. I think we were going to see The Vindictives if memory serve. I shot this with a Nikon FM2 on Ilford XP-1. Can’t remember the lens unfortunately. This was before Missy (on the right) and I really [...]
Ollie backside grab

Old photo of me I scanned today in a garage somewhere in the bowels of a faceless Naperville office park. Board was my trusty old Santa Cruz Tom Knox with blue anodized Indy 169’s and Bullet 66’s. I have no idea what year this was but I was probably 22 or somewhere around there so [...]
Artemis Eternal – The WINGMEN: Distortion

From the shoot on a LA rooftop for the Artemis Eternal short The WINGMEN: Distortion.
Dr. Horrible @ Paley Fest ‘09

On April 14th 2009 my good buddy Francis got us some amazing front row seats for the Dr. Horrible panel at the Arclight for the Paley Festival. You can buy the actual panel on iTunes for $1.99.
Much needed day off

When I was working at Technorati on our massive re-design I worked for several weeks without a day off. I finally got to sneak out on a Sunday to check out Ocean Beach for a day.
Judah photo walk 6.3.07

Before I left San Francisco for warmer climates I took one last photo walk around my neighborhood.
My first trip to San Francisco

In the March of 2003 I took my first ever trip to San Francisco to go to a party my friend Joi Ito was throwing and to finally see what all the fuss was about. As soon as I got off the plane I hooked up with Chris Pirillo who was letting me crash at [...]
Barack Obama

I shot these photos of Mr. Obama at a fundraiser for Senator Barbara Boxer in San Francisco on February 2nd 2007. He had just announced a few days earlier that he was going to be running for President so it was a very rare treat to get to hear him speak before he went on [...]
When we were young…

Shawna at the studio at College of DuPage. Out of all my ex-girlfriends I think Shawna had the best excuse of all to date me. She had a brain tumor the size of a tangerine that no one knew about.
There will be tedium…

Now that I’m settled in the midwest for the next few months I need something to take my mind off work every now and again. I’ve decided to finally scan all my old negatives from the 18 years I shot film. It’s going to take forever and 99% of all the images are utter shit [...]
Grayness

Took a little walk around the city today but the incoming clouds are not cooperating with what I wanted to shoot. I was really surprised at how few For Rent signs there are. I figured in this slump people would be fleeing the city in droves but in a 3 mile circuit I saw exactly [...]
Give it Light. Make it Bright.

I went for a walk around the Mission District in San Francisco today around sunset to unwind after a day of coding and took a few shots. It’s not my favorite part of town by any stretch but with the homeless problem here so out of hand there aren’t many places you can walk here [...]
Rasputin was a damn dirty hippie

I’m working up in Berkeley for a few days and I saw this today on my way back from lunch. Berkeley is about as “me” as going to bible camp would be. We just don’t mesh. At all. So I find myself mumbling “damn dirty hippies” far too much and wanting to firebomb every Prius [...]
Gandalf the Drooly

My friends dog Gandalf is one great drooling mass of Great Pyrenees. Once a week he stops by and takes me for a drag around the neighborhood.
Sleepin’ with da fishes

Raiwin is quite an angry young man. Maybe it was because he was being made to pose for a photo while carrying a fish massage sign by some silly American who was laughing not at him but at the experience, but it was all the same to him. He was angry because his older brothers [...]
2009 in a word

I was looking through my 2009 Lightroom catalog and wanted to see what the first photo I took this year was. And in all it’s omen laden glory here it is… 2009 was 100% FAIL and I’ll make damn good and sure my first photo of 2010 will be full of freakin WIN. This is [...]
Kahlua

This is a shot from back in the day when we if we needed color wackiness we did it with silver and chemistry. This was shot on Kodachrome and processed C-41 by hand. Kahlua is sadly no longer with us but I’ll always remember her being the most cat-like cat I’ve ever met.
